Several organizations have notified Neustar that a company
doing business as Domain Notification Center (Address:
1328 Broadway, Suite 524-151, New York, NY 10001; Telephone
1-800-270-5944; Fax 212-504-0820) has been sending out faxes
regarding available .US domain names. These notices have been
indiscriminately sent to registrants of domain names in all
gTLDs (i.e. .BIZ, .COM, .INFO, .NET, .ORG, etc.), and have
been framed to appear to have come from a trademark protection
agency trying to protect the intellectual property rights
of the targeted parties. Relevant portions of the facsimile
are produced below.
We believe that these types of notices may involve questionable
trade practices; and therefore, we feel obligated to bring
these notices to your attention.
Please note that only your sponsoring registrar or its authorized
